Hi Jerry, yes indeed Michele is my Mum. And Tile Hill is indeed decades ago seeing as we left there when I was 10!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the show, thanks for your encouragement. I am hoping there will be a DVD in the not too distant future. It is in progress, but quite slow progress. I'll certainly be publicising it once available.
Best, Abby.

Saw your performance at New Wine Newark - brilliant. I laughed and at times fought back tears. Somehow you managed to make your shepherdess look so utterly different from say Mrs Pot. The accents were a masterstoke. I hope there will be a video resource for purchase one day?
BTW I assume you are related to Michelle? I knew her a little decades ago in Tile Hill.

Hmm, interesting one. If the audience is paying to watch, that does mean royalties are due, and these are not related to profit. However, it depends on the percentage of the work being performed that is mine - if the whole evening is solely my monologues then it would be right to pay a % of the box office receipts. However, if it is only a small percentage of the whole evening then I would only receive a small percentage of that percentage and would be willing to waive it for a non-profit event. Do credit the book though, in the programme or somehow, that would be great, thanks. I hope you enjoy performing them. If it's a whole show you have in mind, drop me an email and we can figure it out. :-)

I would like to know whether royalties would be payable if some of your monologues were presented not just in a church related venue but also in a small 25-seat theatre, the home of Words UP, an english threatre cooperati cooperative. Audiences pay a small with a 50 / % split wiith the theatre, but this usually just covers costs..

Hi
We have just come back from Spring Harvest and one of the best parts for me is the use of drama through the week.
A must see was Abby doing extracts from her new book and it was a joy to be there. The simple relaxed way she explained which ones she would be performing or passing by would smoothly change, with the help of a few props and an accent change, so that there would be a different person on stage with a story to tell. The passion she has for what she does comes through in these characters and I was left wanting more and so got the book! At the book signing I mentioned it was really for the wife! And was left with the challenge that I could also use it and maybe could play a part!
We are now looking at where we can use them and if we can arrange a booking.
God Bless

Hi Abby,

Having enjoyed your performances (again) at Spring Harvest I came home inspired to make a special effort with Ms X for this afternoon's 'Last Hour at the Cross' all-age, liquid worship service. It went down really well, with several people saying how moving they found it to hear the crucifixion story from a different perspective.

One man was inspired to go and write his own piece as Judas musing on the way things had turned out.

Thank you for a great script.
